4 Months

So Pippa is 4 months old as of yesterday. We go in for her 4 month checkup on Friday, so we'll have an update on official size and weight then. But our mostly innaccurate measurements put her at 25.5 inches long and a bit over 17 pounds-- or, according to our books, about the size of an average 7 month old.

She's been working on her skills-- she's sitting up with less and less support, using her hands more, and even able to stand up holding on to a chair for balance (we still have to get her into a standing position, but once there she supports all her own weight).

Her newest trick, first performed on her fourth month-day, is rolling over from her stomach to her back. She's not doing it consistently, but she can when she really tries.

Finally, because of Emily's recurring thrush, Pippa is getting slowly transitioned over to formula. We were worried that she wouldn't take to the bottle or the taste of the formula, but she attacks her bottles and downs a whopping 7 to 8 ounces every feeding, so that doesn't seem to be a problem.

on to some more photos:

This is a good perspective shot on how big she's getting.
